Anyway, Thimble is adorable, love him to bits. Very much enjoy the creation of certain baked goods in this world that are totally normal to us.

Happy to see Gallina again, glad she's back to be supportive. Interested in what the showdown is going to be.

Pendry is kind of hilarious, pretty sure he's inventing the guitar.

Due to reading book 0 I know Tandri becomes the wife, but I'm glad we're getting the beginning of the relationship.

Just kind of a happy comfy start to a business, with enough political/mafia intrigue to keep things going.

(view spoiler)[ It's so refreshing that the MC chooses honesty when push comes to shove. Rather than just going on, holding the secret. While there's still tension and threat from around, the fact that Tandri is in on what's going on makes it less likely she's going to be an unwitting victim.

The Madrigal being a little old lady who crochets made my day! She's amazing, and I love her. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[Madrigal doesn't like assholes, but she does like Thimble's treats, now that her favourite coffee shop is rubble, methinks Fennus has bit off more than he can chew.

Glad to see that Viv came to her senses and pushed through her grief, allowing her friends to come in and help out. Though Tandri is going to get the best part of that.

The old gnome is the perfect vehicle for that one point of plot exposition. He's been just that big of weirdness sitting around to then bring the fanatastical explanation.

I adore Amity, good kitty for saving the girls. Madrigal coming in clutch was fantastic. The 'employees' coming together to fix the shop back up was very sweet.

I had pre-read a spoiler on here and was worried something happened to Thimble, so glad that not only is he still around but he's getting his big oven! (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ I wanted to rip Fennus to shreds on my own, and I'm so glad with his outcome at the end.

So much help coming to fix up the shop, and the Madrigal showing up for the grand reopening demanding her cinnamon rolls and crescents, just... chef's kiss. Love her.

The fact that Tandri and Viv are just starting their relationship here, when the epilogue of Bookshops and Bonedust had them married means there's a lot more to come in book 2.

Also, I so called it, in my first post about B&B I said it felt like the beginning of a hallmark movie, and my copy of L&L had an interview with the author at the end, and he totally answered the first question saying that he wanted to read a hallmark movie set in a fantasy world!! I love it! (hide spoiler)]
