Michael Stone | 7 comments Okay I'm a guy who desperately needs to find a book. So I was wonderin if you guys would reccomend the book Shiver to me even though I'm a guy. I hate twilighty romance by the way. Thx.

Heather (heatherjoy) Not at all, especailly if you don't like romance. That is all this books is and it's filled with purple prose. I would recommend Hunger Games or Unwind rather than Shiver.

Lisa Vegan (lisavegan) The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian is great for both guys and girls and men and women.

Lisa Vegan (lisavegan) Me too Heather. Of course, we're not guys, but guys also like Ender's Game and its sequels.

Heather (heatherjoy) I think it would be a good guy book :)

Michael Stone | 7 comments What do you guys think of Wake by Lisa McCann?

Heather (heatherjoy) Oh, I loved Wake and the sequel Fade. I cannot wait until the final book comes out in Feb. It is told from a female POV, but she is a strong character and I love Cabel, the guy. There is love in the story, but it is not the major theme, her ability is, and she uses it to solve crimes, so I think a guy would like it.

Tatiana (tatiana_g) I don't think either Wake or Shiver are guy books, unless you like romance that is. My hubby just finished "The Book Thief," he liked it a lot.

Heather (heatherjoy) Michael,
Aside from the books I recommended to you eariler (Hunger Games and Unwind) I also highly recommend Gone by Michael Grant and its sequel, Hunger as well as a book called Looking for Alaska by John Green. All three are told from a male POV and I have rated all three either 4 or 5 stars.
