I actually read a snippet yesterday and ended up reading up to Ch. 27 (49%) today! It's a very domestic neighborhood DRAMA situation but it is holding my attention. Even at this percent, (view spoiler)[I'm not sure who's injured or dead from the first chapter! The book is leading to a lot of possible victims and possible suspects in every which way! there is so much fighting

I like Lettie and feel like she got a really crap deal
it sucks she decided to spray paint on the school but still, her cousin sucks!

I'm not sure about Alex. it's interesting how different her marriage is between year 1 and year 2. I wonder why we have her POV. . .

(view spoiler)[ well Jay is awfully self-righteous. Oof. I wonder what's going on with his mom though. It seemed like neither parent knew about the onlyfans page, so I don't think the mom is the stalker but I wonder what she needs meds for. Is she unwell? maybe the husband is rightfully worried

Ken and Emily are just awful together. I can't figure out why they are staying together

and Evan is still off-kilter. but I worry he will drop Willow AND Riley like a bad habit if his daughter isn't his. Doesn't she see that finding out what she did could cut off the money?

and why is Riley with all these older guys and doing all these drugs? Is she being sold? making money? what is going on?

I don't have any good guesses (view spoiler)[ as to who is dead and why. There are just SO many secrets! I can't believe how unhappy all these couples are but I love how they are messily all connected!

I'm liking Lettie's perspective and getting to know the messiness of the kids and their stories too. But I don't quite see where this is going yet, other than this mysterious death at the party! (hide spoiler)]

I finished it Sunday. (view spoiler)[I felt like it lost its shine, I was getting bored with what was happening. Yes, I was thrown by KEN being the one that Riley was involved with 🤮 and KEN harassing Mandy, I was not sad that he died. Evan was a weird character. I didn't like Alex or Lettie and I'm not sure telling the story from only their eyes was the way to go. (hide spoiler)]

It was so boring. I almost DNF this book, nothing was happening. Took a long time. You can check out my review of it. I didn't like Alex either. I found her very annoying. She had way too much time on her hands and went around judging and gossiping about her neighbors while she herself was the neighborhood drunk. She gets better later and Lettie could also be nosy at times. It's pretty boring for a block party. Most boring block party ever lol.

and wow, Evan being the stalker. Didn't see that coming. really was hedging my bets with Jay

and what's up with Jay haven't the one thing to save Dylan or even seeing/recognizing something wrong with him? Little nervous this means something more about his mom. ..or that maybe he IS the dealer

I was sad to learn about Booke and that her ex Jerry was abusive.

Alex seems to really be going off the rails. Now I can see why there is so much distance between her and Nick at this next block party. (hide spoiler)]
