June | 25 comments I’ve been in a little reading slump lately and I also just have WAY to many unread books but I can’t seem to focus on anything smh.

Francisco Folgado | 9 comments Try maybe to pick up a really easy book to read, and try to speed read some pages, even if you don’t retain every single detail. Your brain will pick up the most important parts and you will be reading without forcing yourself too much :)

Karsyn | 611 comments maybe change up the method? (paper/hardback vs ebook vs audiobook)

When I start getting stagnant in one format, I'll switch to another, and then if I really need to I'll maybe change up my scenery as well. Listen to an audiobook on a walk, or read an ebook by the pool, or take a paperback to a coffeeshop.

And like Francisco said above me, trying something short and easy can also really help. Additionally, maybe return to a comfort read? Something that you've read before and want to re-read. I like going back to books that I've bookmarked specific scenes/tropes and just re-reading those to get me back from a slump.

happy reading! 💜

Carolina | 221 comments Choose a small and easy book to read that will be faster! Set a number of pages that you what to read each day! Also something that helped me was flora ( an app ) basically it makes you be out of your phone and each time you win plants and you grow a garden, if you go on your phone you kill the plants… that really helped me to focus on the books that I was reading! Hope that helped 💋

Yeehawwlovesbooks | 448 comments i try to force myself to read a certain amount of chapters everyday and set a goal for every book I read. Like I want to finish the whole book in 3 weeks or something.

bonnie | 77 comments i think you have to identify what's making you not want to read. is it the book? is it the room you read in? is it the format (book, ebook, etc)?

once you've established the problem, you can solve the problem. experimenting is always important when it comes to reading :)

Lauren | 17 comments I listen to an audiobook of the same boom I’m reading so I finish a book in a day or so

Olivia Reyes | 3 comments Hi y'all! I've been listening to audiobooks on Audible lately so that helps me get through more books faster, especially when I'm too busy to sit down and read. Also, I've been trying to bring my books everywhere with me. So if I'm waiting in line for food, or waiting at a Dr office, going to the bathroom (lol), basically those in-between moments in life are great opportunities to read.
