As for the vampires, they're a little different from what I've encountered in other books, which I like, but I can't wait to see what they can really do (besides what they've already done to Theo and Marco).
The podcasters are a nice touch, our expert figures in the story and am looking forward to seeing more of them.
I wonder if there will be a team up of some sorts between the grandmother and the podcasters.

I think the backstory of this book is super interesting! I love it when vampire books offer new layers and dimensions to what vampires can do. I'm also a fan of the podcasters. I think it takes the book in a fun new direction!

I love how the town and vampire lore are woven into this book! I completely agree with your take on the characters too. Theo is the relatable and most developed in my opinion, perhaps because she's the viewpoint character.

Sorry for the late reply! The backstory and the mythology drawn out by the podcast is one of my favourite things about this book. It did take a while for the vampires to be revealed. I like how the story unfolded gradually.

Sorry for the late reply! I hope the vampire reveal was satisfying when you got to it. I loved the podcast and the atmosphere. Two of my favourite things about the book!

This topic can include spoilers up to the end of chapter 18, so only continue reading this post if you have read up to this point.
I love how Suzanne Young builds atmosphere right from the start. The Lost Boys is one of my favourite films and it's fun to see the parallels.
❓ What do you think of the town's backstory?
❓ What are your thoughts about the vampires?
❓ Are you enjoying the podcast dimension?
I will open up the next topic in a week for us to talk (with spoilers) about up to page p275/the end of chapter 27.
