Sorry for the writing I'm using the translator. I've been looking for this book for 3 years and never found it; It's a period romance in which the protagonist's parents die, (the parents didn't have a love marriage, on the mother's side) she and her sister go to London, the grandmother just wants to stay with her younger sister (we think it's out of spite, but in the end we find out that she was doing it for the dead daughter who wanted to get married when she was young with the father of the romantic couple) and she moves in with him and they start to fall in love. At the beginning of the book, the story tells that the couple were married and had a son, however the wife "kidnaps" the son to ask for money from him, and the son and wife die in the shipwreck. They make a lot of reference to the protagonist's red or blonde hair throughout the book.

Book starts with Jason's back story of his cheating wife that died in a shipwreck with his son. Then it goes to Victoria in American and her recent parent death. Her mother didn't love her father and it's a major theme/problem in the story. She and her sister go to London and their relative only wants the younger sister. Claims Victoria looks too much like their mother (or something like that). Sends her to Victoria's mother's old love, Charles. Charles is Jason's father/uncle. (My memory is a bit hazy. I think Charles may actually be the father and Jason is illegitimate.) Charles pretends to be ill to force Victoria and Jason together. Eventually, at the end, you find out the grandmother was hoping to get Jason and Victoria together too. She pretended to dislike Victoria. (hide spoiler)]
