But as their relationship grows more heated and she learns more about the world he moves in, she finds herself unsure if she’s falling for the man known as James or the monster known as Hook.

I am at Chapter 18 now and must say I enjoy the book more than I thought I will.

I completely agree with you as well, I am not a fan of him at all as well because. It is giving Oedipus/Jocasta complex. But considering the trauma he went through as a child I get why he fell for her so quickly.

Definitely interested in reading the second one. I honest messed up and read the 5th book first, but I was happy to know that these books are pretty much stand alones in a series
