I knew what was happening in the beginning and I am starting to think that even though I love romance I am tired of books adding a misunderstanding for some unnecessary drama. I missed the book being from Drew's POV but I can understand why. All in all I will continue with the series just so I can mark it as done on my list. LOL

I like how they put stuff like abortion in here yet you don't even really recognize it. There are a lot of books about societies like this one but this is by far my favorite.
Sorry I'm so late this time! Review coming up now!

Review: Rose and Lissa are back at the Academy, and as Lissa starts to learn how to use her magic, Rose starts seeing ghosts and feels like she's going crazy. She learns more about what it means to be shadow kissed. The ending is exciting and action-filled, and then there is an unexpected event that changes Rose's future path. The next book should be very interesting.

Jess, Outlander is one of those books that I keep starting and stopping and never seem to make a dent in! I saw the first episode of the t.v. show and enjoyed it, so I might just stick with watching the show. I don't know why I cannot seem to finish this book! :)

Mary, any plans to watch the movie? I liked the book, so hopefully the movie does it justice. I'll be watching it as soon as it comes out on HBO.

It took me a few attempts to read it the first time, but I finally got into and was hooked. I originally started it not long after the first one came out and made a couple more attempts over the years as people kept telling me I had to finish it. I haven't seen the show yet. I am always dubious about TV and film versions of books I like.

Review:
Another solid entry into this series, though it felt at times like it was lacking a little something. In this one we are introduced to Lucy Sharp's niece and get a peek into Lucy's life. Sage is estranged from Lucy but comes to her for help with a story she is researching. Lucy becomes worried about her and sends one of her Bulletcatchers to watch over her secretly. Of course, things become romantic between them pretty quickly and it is a surprisingly sweet romance. Johnny is indebted to Lucy and takes on the case without questions. The story bogs down in the middle as it becomes slightly muddled and there isn't a lot of tension to the story. But still, the writing kept me engaged and I liked the characters, so I was rooting for them.

I'm so sorry you've been sick, Nika! Marathon Netflix sessions always help! I just finished watching all the episodes in Season 1 of Bitten.

I love Molly Harper's books and the crazy town of Half-Moon Hollow. This story started in

I didn't like these two as much as I have other couples in the series, Gigi just annoys me a bit too much. The highligts of this for me were the glimpses of other characters such as Nola and Jake, I laughed at Jake the land shark. Dick Cheney was as fun as ever.
The story of Nik's curse and Gigi's problems was okay but I loved the ending, life is going to get more interesting for Vampires in Half-Moon Hollow.

Glad you are feeling better.
Finished my book this morning. Will post my review this afternoon.

Review: I couln't believe what a jerk Lord Maccon was after the surprise at the end of Book 2, so I was looking forward to seeing how things progressed in this book. With her and Lord Maccon on the outs, Alexia is left homeless and without the protection of the werewolf pack, which sends her on the run fleeing from those trying to kill her and her new baby bump. We learn more about the soulless ones and their history, and Alexia's comments are witty as always. It was nice travelling over to "the continent" in this book. I feel like I'm reading a lot of books set in Europe lately! I enjoyed the happy ending and do plan to continue the series.

Me too I really disliked him for doubting her.

Another solid story in this series. I love the ghost aspect of this series but I am having a big problem with the romance. I don't need the romance! Maybe it will grow on me but since horror is my first love this will always be what I want to see in my horror novels.

Review:Tamora Pierce is a excellent writer who likes to put the facts of life in her books. I only wish that Alanna could choose her man, She keeps flip flopping through out the series.

Review:
This is the 2nd book in the Company of Rogues series and while I love Jo Beverly's writing it was not my favorite. This is a rather complicated forced marriage of convenience story and has many layers to it, as is usual in one of her books. I always enjoy her storylines and her writing but I never quite warmed up to the two main characters in this one. But overall, still a very good book that comes with a warning - it does not shy away from difficult topics.
