So, do we start off each reading a #1 book or is there a roll of the dice Friday? Who rolls? Do we each roll, and our team wins when we've all reached the end?
I'm not clear on how this works, really. If we roll once as a team, then who is responsible for that? I understand we can't roll until everyone has completed the week's reading and posted their review.

It's really simple to play but like so many things it's easier to see vs explaining it lol.
Go take a look at the past games in the archives if you want to. I'll BRB with a link.

Where's everyone located? I'm in the US Central time, so if you want me to roll I'll be happy to do it. I'm always up at that hour and later.
I suppose we need a name, too? I bet 'Lucky Sevens' has been used before.

I like 'Seven Deadly Sinners' a lot, Katherine.

I'm PST so I'm at the tail end of the time zones, but my plate is pretty full at the moment so trying to organize one more thing might actually kill me. ;)

I'll PM them, but to be honest it doesn't instill me with confidence if we're already having to chase people down.

Jim

I expect to use the alternate list quite a bit or end up reading some JD Robb books.

I'll roll the dice tonight, and after everyone's checked in we can decide on a Captain. I'm only rolling tonight because I've got a pile of books to read and review and I need to get started. I usually do all my work at night.
Katherine nominated Seven Deadly Sins.
I'm withdrawing 'Lucky Sevens' because 'Lucky Thirteen' has been taken.
I nominate Read It and Weep, because hopefully we'll kick some behind and make all the other teams cry. Figuratively, of course.
My husband likes Seven Samurai.
I'll be back at midnight CST (5 hours from now).

I named all 7 sins, but I was only taught the virtues faith, hope, and charity. She asked me if I was Baptist and said we're very sin-focused. Which is true.

You may read #7 in a series or the alternate, author M
When posting your review, please include a link to the book, date finished, a rating, and a review. Your review doesn't have to be fancy. When using an alternate option please link the correct edition of your book.
Remember, all of our reviews must be posted before we can roll for the next week. Please have your reviews posted by Thursday evening.
Good luck choosing a book!

Warning: I am a sports fan, so the upcoming is from a jock mentality.
Read It and Weep clinched the baseball Division Series in four of a best-of-five series of games; but as in Davis Cup (men) or Federation Cup (women) tennis, all the matches must be played. Since these games are designated SS or SSS, I thought my suggestion of a team name fit.
Can the book be of any genre? Or must it be fiction? I don't think I have a book that is #7 in a series, but I do have The World Is My Home, a memoir by author James A. Michener. Is this acceptable? Thank you.
Jim

Name Team 7 Poll
James, there's nothing in the rules that says it must be fiction. Thankfully all genres!
Players don't have to choose their books or tell us about them before posting the review. I like looking at the list and anticipating the reviews. I'm always looking a good book recommendation.

It would be nice if the reviews were posted by early Thursday evening, as they have to be consolidated into one post, then linked in the spot thread.
The sooner the better, so the person rolling won't have so much to do at once.

A young teenaged girl disappears from a rural Ozark community and is hardly missed until her body turns up in pieces, lodged in the branches of a fallen tree on the river bank across from Henbane's local store. The murdered girl was Lucy's neighbor, and her disappearance a year earlier struck a chord with the young girl whose own mother disappeared 15 years ago just as mysteriously.
Are these disappearances as connected as the ties that bind the people of Henbane? Lucy thinks so, and her exploration takes her on a dangerous journey. She'll find out what happened to them both, and discover in the process that nothing is as it seems.

Review: This is a little creeper then the first book in the series it not summer court and winter court. It the dark fairy court and about this girl who get a tattoo and slowly find herself be coming like a fairy. It also about the main charter coming into her own in that she find a world that is scary but not as bad as her old life.

Review:
Love the Fool's Gold, CA series and this is the first book . It is about Josh
Golden, womanizer and professional cycler and Charity Jones the city planner
hired to bring men into town. It is very predictable in that they will fall in love and marry but are well developed characters. Mallery kept pushing his won-
derful body over and over again. The meeting between the girls in town was much mroe interesting. It was an ok book, nothing special.

Review: This book was okay. But I think that Nalini Singh could do better.
So the book is about A Psy girl, who doesn't have memory, and she was left to leader of the Forgotten, Devraj Santos. After some time she stars to remember some fragments of her life and what happened to her, that her mind was tortured by Ming LeBon. The more Katya remembers, the more intense feelings are between her and Dev...

Nalini Singh can write, and is very creative. I wish she would put out less books of greater quality. She definitely has it in her.

While I didn't like this story as much as I did the first it was still very enjoyable. I love the world created here and the dark elements that make it unique. This story spins more on the relationships developing though than on the strange otherworldliness of life on these prairies. The strange events keep happening, but there less integral to what's going on between the characters.
This is really an interesting two part love story. You have Dante struggling with the pain of knowing the man he thinks he loves is in love with another and having banished himself to another ranch to try to rebuild. His pain unendurable coupled by the death of his brother at the hands of the wraiths. But with the entrance of Cami in his life all of the bitter anger and self hatred he felt begins to melt away and he becomes a redeemable character, not the man I loathed in the first book. Having, as always, generally ignored the blurb and side not genres I didn't realize where this story was headed at first. The reveal here is really well done and I was pleasantly surprised by it. I really enjoyed Cami's character in this and really felt for her and all she's gone through in her life. I liked her and Dante as a couple, together they were balanced and brought out the best in each other.
The other part of this love story is of course Francis and Simon...here I have a few more problems. While I did get that Simon does care about Francis the idea that he wasn't fully in love with him, not even really gay for you just horny is what always stood out for me. I didn't like that even in the end, as satisfied with the bounds of their relationship as both men were, I still felt like Francis was selling himself short. I feel like he's taking whatever leavings Simon's willing to give him and I didn't like it. Don't like it for Simon either as I want him to have everything he wants too even if he's baring that for himself. This felt like convenience and a friendship twisted not a true loving bond that is what I want for all the characters I really love. And don't get me wrong I loved both Simon and Francis. I just wanted a different realization for Simon than this story gives him.
The solution to the problem of the wraiths and all the craziness going on around Oestend was always where I saw things going even if it took them all a long time to figure things out. Still it was handled beautifully (view spoiler) and I liked the way they discovered why the BarChi was exempt from the crazy. I loved Deacon's freak out. ;)
All in all this was a well told story and while some elements were not my favorite choices for the characters they still served the story. I enjoyed my reading of this and wish the series continued even as the outstanding scary has been dealt with.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
