Second book in the Expanse series. I love, love, loved the TV series from Amazon - so I had everyone's faces and voices in my head reading this one.

Two new characters are introduced: Bobbie and Avarasala. Bobbie is a fierce Martian Marine. Avarasala is the elderly, diminutive, foul-mouthed Under Secretary for the UN on Earth. Both are strong female leads in this story. They end up working with James Holden and his crew to save the universe.

This is really more space opera than science fiction and I loved every minute of it.
