“Hester, c’mon, relax. If you turn it this way it looks completely different. That wouldn’t happen if it was real,” She said, even though her hand holding the cup was shaking a bit.

“You’re right I should just forget it.” Hester says calmly.
Ace manages a small smile, her hand steady now.
“So is class done now or?” She asks. She hadn’t been paying much attention to the class.
Ace looks around. People were packing their things. “Oh, yeah, I guess it is. What next?” She glances at her schedule.
“I have Transfiguration.” She groans. “What about you?”
“Same. I don’t mind that class much,” Ace puts her books away, smiling a bit more sincerely.
((Yeah, or skip to lunch or something idc, you start lol))

Nico led Xeno into the steamy room. It reminded him of the bathroom at his house after his sister took one of her burning hot showers. He sat down at a table with a crystal ball.

“Oh look it’s a crystal ball.” Nico sighed. “Isn’t that the strumento di divinazione stereotipato for witches that muggles think witches use?”

“They don’t even know we exist.” Nico said, wistfully. “They think we’re a thing of the past and we’re evil.”

“My sister used to be obsessed with the Salem witch trials.” Nico rolled his eyes. “It was right before she moved to America.”

“She’s sixteen and she’s on an babbano, I mean muggle exchange student program in America,” Nico said with a hint of sadness.

“Yeah, okay, whatever.” He said. As much as his older sister annoyed him, he missed her. His parents were distant and she and his brother took care of him.

“I suspect it’s the teacher herself.” Nico said. “She must do something or have something to make misty.”

(Srry lunch break)
“Yeah. Italian, it’s my first language, I’m ESL.” Nico replied. “Both of my parents are from Italy.”

“Fico,” Nico says. “I mean cool. When’s class starting?”

“Why do you do that?” Nico asks. “It’s così pericoloso.”

“No, you’re fine.” Nico said. “It’s just I accidentally burned myself as a child, so yeah.”

“No, it’s not that big.” Nico said. “My brother convinced me to put my hand above a candle then pushed it and it burn my hand.”

Nico’s expression looked pained. “Um, it’s complicated.” He muttered. “My siblings practically raised me.”

"Yeah, my parents erano troppo.. occupati," Nico said. "They own a restaurant and a bit after I was born the ristorante got really popolare and they didn't have much time for, well, me. It’s okay though my sister’s great.”

“What are they busy with?” Nico asked. He figured since he told Xeno about it Xeno would tell him. “Don’t want to be nosy, you don’t have to tell me.” He added to be safe. “But I’m curious.”

Nico frowned. “That sounds… difficult. Sorry about that. I want to help, but i don’t know how I could be able to help.” Nico said, pausing after each sentence to translate it from Italian to English. “I think class is about to start though.” Nico sees a spark in the crystal ball.

“Awh, I really appreciate you. You’re a great friend. I don’t think you deserve the struggles you went through.” Xeno is interrupted by the sudden spark on the crystal ball. “Huh? Does that mean something?”
(Does Xeno have the gift of sight? I’m just asking cause I’m curious :) )
“Thanks you’re a good friend too.” Nico says quickly before looking at the crystal ball. It showed Nico’s siblings having an argument in his old room. “Do you see this?” He knew Xeno probably wouldn’t but was confused at the image. “It’s, it’s…”
