I could have told you that this request does not require a superlibrarian and that you should have posted it at the Book Issues folder, but since I already started I'll finish it. In the future, please post in the correct folder.

Thank you very much for the assistance. I was previously told that merging two editions requires assistance from a SuperLibrarian, so that's why I posted this here (unless I misunderstood what the poster said).

This is true only if the edition was shelved five or more times. In this case the merged edition was only shelved twice, so any librarian could have performed it, to the best of my knowledge.
