ooh sounds cool!the evil sister could be Tatiana I suppose and she’s in the ministry (I was thinking some sort of political, magical society related) so she could actually be the one to dig up the truth about his mother. although I would say Tatiana isn’t hostile enough to duel her sister and is actually rather pompous so the brother attacking her is more likely.
and also change the letter being from her mother to being from her father maybe because due to Roksana’s upbringing I don’t think she would mind so much, but Emiliya’s father definitely would. I have some family history in Vera’s history.
Cool cool thanks So the duel was a disagreement between her and her brother while she was prego. The letter came from her father and the second letter came from Tatiana.

Cain was born to a Pureblood and a half-Vampire. Once his parents were dead by unknown causes his pureblood grandparents took him in and erased any evidence of his halfbreed lineage claiming their son married a pureblood witch. Cain was then arranged to marry a girl from the prominent DeLille family.
The couple were introduced their sixth year of schooling over winter break. They accepted their duty to their families for the line of purity as even Cain had no idea that his mother was a halfbreed.
Two years after graduating the couple were married happily. Emiliya was even with child shortly after.
Unhappy that her sister was in an arranged marriage that she was actually happy with, one of Emiliya's sinister sister's did everything in her power to ruin the marriage. She hated Emiliya being happy. One day an unprovoked argument between the sisters led to a duel which sent Emiliya to St.Mungos. That day Cain learned that they were expecting twins and lost the babes, but he received this news by way of owl due to being out of the country on business. He rushed back to their home only to find an empty space with a letter left on the bed. It was from Emiliya's mother stating that a formal separation was in action as their marriage occurred under false pretense. The letter was followed by a few documents which seemed to register his mother's family as only half complete along with other documents placing the start of his mother's lineage with just her with mother and Vampire father. A second letter, clearly written by another person other than the mother, places a threat to reveal his families impurity should he ever try and contact Emiliya.
A year later he remained in their home by himself. His studious endeavors led to an obsession with wandlore and the Deathly Hollows. He desired the resurrection stone so he might bring back his twin infants and Emiliya back as their mother. He received the teaching position at Hogwarts only a few years ago and even somewhat new as a professor he is one of the younger professors of the school.
While his heart still longs for his love he is left with more torment than ever each time he must see one of Emiliya's sisters at the school.
His grandparents still living know nothing of the threats their family received to be seen as impure. Cain still host conflicted emotions about betrayal, rage, sadness and vengeance.
