Did anyone else hate the Springs?

They expected Janie to slip right into their family and forget the parents who loved and raised her. They didn't see her as a person, they saw her as a doll who was expected to have no personality or agency of her own. The lack of self awareness, the belief that they were the perfect family and Janie only didn't like them because she was spoiled, made me despise them. I was so glad Janie returned to her parents at the end of the book.
