Heejin Ahn (aheejin) | 453 comments It is very common in Korea to split a single original book into multiple books when publishing translations. I can create two books for each of the translated books and make them into a series. But how can I link them as another edition of the original book?

An example:
This is the original novel, in French:
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6...

These are the translated books in Korean, in two two split volumes:
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...

How do I link translated books to the original edition? If I only combine the first (Korean) book with the original book, because the first book is in a series with the second (Korean) book, all different editions of this novel will be in the series in effect, which is incorrect.

I checked out other similar cases, but they all are not linked to the original edition. Is there a way to resolve this problem?

Scott | 9298 comments Parts should never be linked to the whole, unless all volumes are a set on a single record.
