Theresa, this topic is for books over 800 pages long. Your book should probably be nominated in the Modern suggestions thread.

Lina, Les Miserables was already read in 2020. Is there another long read you would like to suggest instead?

Sorry, I was looking at the kindle edition, which varies wildly from some of the other editions. Which edition should we be using for pages? The instructions above seem to be from before the refresh Goodreads did for the book pages a few months back.

We use the page numbers that are given in the book link that appears when you add it. GR presents the most popular edition.

Can we nominate same author but different book?"
You can nominate any book, by any author, as long as it hasn't been previously read by the group.

Renata, we have previously read Anna Karenina in the classics category. Would you like to change your nomination?

Thanks Tori, I missed that! My new suggestion is Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell, 1037 pages.

Books that qualify for this category:
1. Must have a minimum of 800 pages but can be any genre, either classic or modern.
2. Have not been previously read by this group. Previously read books can be nominated in the Bookshelf Catch-Up thread. See the group's Bookshelf for previously read books.
3. Be reasonably well-read, with at least 50,000 ratings, to fit the "Everyone Has Read This but Me" claim.
Only one nomination is allowed per person, per category. If you nominate more than one book only your first nomination will be added toward the tracking post. Please continue to second as many nominations that interest you!
Page numbers are now required for every nomination. To find out how many pages a book has, go to the book's page on Goodreads. Look under the section titled "GET A COPY" and above the book's ISBN number.
Nominations end on July 16.
