Bella - You wrote your comment in reply to Elyse's comment and her end of book spoiler was open. So you didn't write a spoiler, but her spoiler was open in your comment. It happens some times, so we need to check for it. It's a weird glitch that Goodreads has. I can't edit comments, so I had to delete it.

If you want to try to post a spoiler tag, try this. Copy and paste the following, then remove the two periods. I added those so you can see the code.

<.spoiler> type what you want to hide here <./spoiler>

Do you use the app or go online? Spoiler tags don't really work on the app. You can create them, but not view them.

When you Reply or Respond to someone else's comment that has a spoiler, it will open it when it is part of the repeated text I think.
I have had that happen to me as well when I didn't write anything spoilery, but was responding to something someone has written.

Sometimes, I just type the person's name and my comment instead of hitting the reply button, so I don't risk opening an unintended spoiler.

Elyse (winesaboutbooks) | 1523 comments On Android, they're all completely unhidden. Funny that iOS keeps them completely hidden.

Yes, the apps are weird, Elyse. Loads of problems with them.

Vicki - I've definitely had it happen before too. It's so frustrating. I wish they'd fix that. I've learned to check before I post. If the spoiler is showing, I just delete that bit like I did in my response to Bella. I just left the ... in its place. Sometimes I will substitute a [spoilers removed] in it's place as well.

Elyse (winesaboutbooks) | 1523 comments Yeah I just change it to [spoilers removed]

Wow didn't know this. I need a tutorial. I am so new here.

No worries, Bella! There are a lot of little quirks, but you'll get it. Did you see my post above about how to post a spoiler? You should give it a try. It is easier to figure it all out online. The apps are pretty glitchy.

No where can I find it?

Original comment is here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... Do you usually check in on the app or online? The app is pretty glitchy and cuts off comments. Depending on your device there are different issues. Linked the code again below.

Copy and paste the following, then remove the two periods. I added those so you can see the code.

Bella, I deleted your replies above because the other people's spoilers were open again. I copied and pasted your whole response into the new comments above, so nothing is left out. I just put the whole thing behind a spoiler. When you reply to someone, you need to make sure their spoilers aren't open in your comments. Your comments were hidden, but theirs weren't.

Katrisa | 202 comments I just finished part 1. (view spoiler)
I am mad that I can't just sit all day and read this! But I have a ton to do for back to school - my prep week is next week. I have to go do some errands so I'll be switching to my audiobooks for a minute but dang I want to finish this one!

Vicki Willis | 871 comments LOVED it.
I hope I never meet my birthday twin.
What a book this was!

(view spoiler)

I am so glad I gave this one a shot. I almost didn't because Lisa Jewel has usually just been a "good" read for me. I have rated most of hers 3 stars. But I would have been missing out if I didn't read this one!

Elyse (winesaboutbooks) | 1523 comments I also thought it was better than any of other her books I've read!

Katrisa | 202 comments I finished and this had been one of my fav thrillers this year. (view spoiler)

I did finally get this one. I may get to it soon. I'll come back and post my thoughts later if I do.

I finally finished and I thought it was great. I haven't written my review yet, but (view spoiler)

Tasha I really enjoyed this one as well! I did this one on audio and loved the production. I love LJ and she always writes the most interesting characters and keeps you so engaged in the story. 4.5 stars

Wow, this one was so good!! I hope you guys all love it too

Great summary as it did get a bit confusing at the end. Great twists though!

Tasha Kristie wrote: "I ordered a copy of this book. I am getting an autographed copy to keep in my library. :) I'm excited for it to get here."

Fun!!

Tasha Bella, this whole spoiler thing just happened to me too. I went back to check my comment (msg 83) and the comment I was responding to from Trisha had the spoiler comment open so I quickly fixed it. Just letting you know it happens to seasoned posters as well! lol. I always make a point to go back and check my comments and it really helps catch these things, as well as many typos. ;)

Tasha Vicki Willis wrote: "LOVED it.

What a book this was!

That was so twisted. I didn't see any of the coming.

Another really great summary of what happened! thank you :)

YES, to all of your thoughts. :)

I agree, she is a go-to author for me.

Tasha I liked this one more than The Girls in the Garden too, Elyse. And I understand your point in the spoiler about an event in the book. She is a go-to author for me, hope you get a chance to read more of her stuff. BTW, you are kicking a$$ in reviews, so many I'm impressed!

Yes, I'm definitely hoping to get to more of her books this year. I own a handful in some format or another, I just need to read them! lol

Tasha great :) I hope you enjoy them
