I read this this morning...
Another great entry in the series... but, WOW... talk about throwing the world/worldbuilding into turmoil...
This series is bonkers... but I feel like the decisions make sense (more sense than the Beta Earth dogma)...
I feel like I'm definitely going to have to make time for the ebooks of the rest of the series, somehow...

I am going to read the next Galand book then this one. I believe they are in KU so if you didn't want to wait for the audio you can easily get the books.

It's an eye-reading thing... I'm terrible at making time for eye-reading, 99% of the time... I'm working on Tsalmoth right now... 4 chapters in 2-3 weeks... out of 17

I understand that, I try to carve out at least a couple of hours each weekend to read an ebook but sometimes it is tough to do that even. I feel like these are super quick reads/listens though so I'm up for continuing now if you like. This depends on how I feel about this book though mind you lol

I'm definitely interested in continuing--but considering that the first three books came out on audio just last year, I'm hoping that the others might also come out on audio... and I don't think I could cram in any more eyebooks before December.

You'll get there! They are stupid long, next month we only have 2 to read and it's like 1200 pages!
When we were scheduling Cycles of Arawn/Galand/Scour, we were pretty resistant to another 14 month Buddy Read...

I complain about how long they are but honestly I am glad we did more than one a month, I am not certain I would have stuck with it for more than a year.

Depends on the trilogy. I absolutely could have read Abercrombie's The First Law trilogy in a month, same with Klune's Green Creek or Verania series, I even read Schwab's Darker Shades (is that the series name?) in a month earlier this year but I found those very engaging. The Robertson books aren't bad, they just haven't grabbed me so I need to know what is going to happen. I am interested enough to continue but this one had a cliffhanger and I am fine waiting to read the next after I clear the books I have planned for the next week or so.

I was actually referencing these Cycle books... doing 3 a month lets us resolve a storyline each month, instead of basically getting 1/3 of a story...
I could have done Arawn monthly, since they were more complete stories...

Ideally these would be much more engaging for me though. I am afraid that if I fall behind I will not finish and if so I do not see me re-reading/listening to catch up and finish the series. It's not yet a slog to get through but it's felt close a couple of times lol
It's not so much a slog, as an almost OCD need to finish my books each days, since I read at a pace where that's generally possible... and some days, I'd rather just go to bed early or watch TV than finish, but I try to finish anyway...
If I actually pause/stop to eat & watch TV, it's easier to convince myself to keep watching, than it is to convince myself to stop listening and watch instead...

I make progress on Jack Ryan occasionally, but otherwise mostly only watch Dropout.tv these days, the streaming service from College Humor... so comedian content, nerd game shows, and D&D Actual Plays...

Dropout.tv has Gamechanger, which is kinda like Taskmaster on British TV, where the goal of the show changes every episode... there are 5 seasons, fair amount of episodes...
I also really like Um, Actually... that's the true nerd trivia show... the host reads note cards about fandom content, but one fact is wrong, and contestants buzz in and say "Um, Actually, _______" like you would in real life if you were a superfan and your fandom was being mangled... covers all sorts of shows/movies/comics/anime/etc/etc/etc... that one has 8 seasons and LOTS of episodes...
Both of these shows have some content, clips, or whole episodes on youtube...
Dropout.tv is $6/mo, or $60/yr... i signed up for the D&D stuff... few D&D seasons are on youtube, rest are on Dropout... some seasons also let you watch a few episodes on youtube to lure you in, and need Dropout to finish... later seasons also have Adventuring Party, an aftershow where the cast disects the previous episode and decompresses before the next campaign episode... from what I understand, campaigns are filmed in like 2 week spans or less, doing multiple episodes a day + the adventuring party episodes... then it releases several months later...
I also like Make Some Noise, a spinoff of Gamechanger, that involves doing improv to prompts written up by the host, solo, and in pairs and all 3 working together...

Doing my part to convert people to the Dropout fandom... I fell down a rabbithole last year, and I don't regret it...
The three dudes in that clip are pretty much the origins of the spinoff show... I think it was actually the first episode of Gamechanger ever... the show is hosted by Sam Reich, CEO of Dropout, which is what College Humor rebranded as, when it basically went bankrupt in 2018, and was bought out by Sam...
The premise is so fun and works so well with those 3 contestants, that it actually became a bit in the first 4 seasons that they were brought back on for a Round 4-6, 7-9, and 10-12, where their points kept carrying over...
Spinning it off into it's own show actually finally allowed other contestants to participate... they still appear as a trio once a season, tho... Make Some Noise is in the middle of season 2 right now... I hear Wayne Brady is going to be on it at some point... probably the season 2 finale... not sure if this is because of the Writer Strike, or if it's just serendipity... Sam Reich has gotten some pretty high profile guests and guest judges in the past... he did a zoom episode with Michael Winslow from Police Academy, and did a special event Game Changer multi-part Survivor game, with guest judges from one of those cake shows, Howie Mendel, and a few others...
Me talking about Dropout shows is starting to feel like me talking about Sanderson & the Cosmere :D
