Bookish Bingo Bash: July Read-a-Thon

📚This July, get ready for an exciting and engaging reading adventure with our "Bookish Bingo Bash"!

📚Challenge yourself to complete horizontal, vertical, or diagonal lines, as well as other creative patterns, on your bingo card. Rack up points with each accomplished challenge and unlock exciting rewards along the way.

Here's how it works:

1. 🫶Friendship Bingo Card🫶: This special card is filled with prompts that celebrate the spirit of friendship. Each prompt can be used to find and read books that fit these prompts.

2. 🌟Miscellaneous Bingo Card🌟: This card is a delightful mix of letters, pictures, and numbers. Let your imagination soar as you interpret the pictures and associate them with book covers, story elements, or symbolic representations. Seek out books that have a connection to these pictures. Additionally, hunt for titles or authors' names that contain specific letters on the card. You can match the numbers on the card with the page count or the titles of the books you choose to read.

3. 📚Buddy Reading🤩: July is the perfect time to celebrate World Friendship Day (July 30th) by engaging in buddy reading. Find fellow book enthusiasts with similar interests and embark on a shared reading experience. Buddy reading not only enhances your connection with others but also earns you extra points on your Bingo Card.

📚GENERAL RULES:-

1. Books read On or AFTER 1st July will count under the challenge.
2. The book read must be at least 120 pages to count.
3. A minimum of 2 books must be read to qualify for awards in the challenge.
4. A book can follow one prompt at a time only.
5. One prompt can be used a maximum of 2 times.
6. Regular patterns can be formed as many times as you like.
7. Out of 16 miscellaneous patterns, only 4 can be used for each card(without repetition).
8. A review must be at least a paragraph (3-5 lines) to count for points.
9. Buddy Reading counts only if it's done in this group & at least 2 people have participated in the discussion.

1. Friendship Bingo Card: 2 points for completing a square/prompt.
2. Miscellaneous Bingo Card:-
- 1 point for completing a letter/number square
-2 points for completing a picture square

3. Pattern Scoring:-

Straight Line Down: 4 points
Diagonal: 5 points

->Miscellaneous Patterns:-
C: 8 Points
L: 6 Points
T: 6 Points
H: 8 Points
X: 10 Points
Four Corners: 3 points
Center Square: 4 points
Outer Edge: 8 points
Perpendicular: 6 points
Smile: 6 points
Diamond: 10 points
Postage Stamps: 5 points
4: 8 points
Railroad Tracks: 5 points
Table: 6 Points
Hat: 8 Points

4. Buddy Reading: 4 additional points for each book.
5. Review: 2 points for each book reviewed.

📚 How to Participate?

We're introducing a new approach this time to provide more flexibility. You have the option to participate either as an individual or as a team of two. If we receive a significant number of participants opting for teams, we will organize a team challenge. Otherwise, it will be an individual challenge.

To sign up, simply let us know if you prefer to participate as a team or an individual. If you choose to be a team of two, kindly include both team members' names in your comment.

Hi! I'll send you the cards in your thread. It's just that the picture quality is getting compromised by doing so, hence I provided the link. I think you should be able to access the link, you just need to click on it and it must open in a new window or tab.

Hi Aliah! It's nice to know you are interested in joining the challenge, but the sign-ups have closed. We usually do this because this is a one-month challenge and we have certain awards up for grabs, due to which it can get competitive. Normally, it's a healthy competition but to avoid conflicts we keep a fixed timeline for participation so that everyone can try to do their best in that duration.

You can still join but please keep in mind that you might lag behind other participants (ofc, if you are a fast reader, you can catch up) due to starting late.
