How do you organize your books?

i organize my books by series and by genre

series and genre, and I have all the books I have not read turned around. when i read them I turn them back so I can see the spine. its a good visual progress tracker through my physical tbr

3 of my shelf cubbies are filled with ya fantasy, two with ya thriller/mystery, two for Harry Potter things, and one for contemporary/romance. I only have six sections and I’m quickly running out of room

I change it up every time I re do my bookshelf ☠️ it's usually by color or by series

Alphabetically by the author’s surname, and if I have multiple books by that author, I organise it by publication date. I also have an extra shelf just for my favourite books tho
