Lauren (laurennsilva) | 14 comments I just read The Serpent and the Wings of Night, that one is 2 books, I think there might be a third coming but that was really good (I'll probably read the second book soon), I'm currently reading What Lies Beyond the Veil, so far its good, a little hard to start but it gets interesting. A Court of Thorns and Roses is good (I think that one is 5 or 7 books though). The Elf Tangent is awesome & The Shadows Between Us is So GOOOD! The first line is the kicker though "They've never found the body of the first and only boy who broke my heart. And they never will."

Those are some of my favorites so far, I hope this helps. :D

Shan (heyshanimal) | 6 comments might sound like a broken record but The Sarah J Maas universe will def get you into high fantasy. and there is a reason it is recommended so much haha Throne of glass blew me away. Acotar then Crescent City after that if you want even more of that realm. My boyfriend's fav series is crescent city but ya gotta read acotar first ;)

if you like some Young adult dystopian style, shatter me and Maze Runner are exciting and fun.
Then there is the Fourth Wing which is the hottest book around right now and it is amazing but I would save it if you can, because nothing hits like Fourth Wing after you read it.

O C | 88 comments The only high fantasy I’ve read is part of the wheel of time series and yes it took me two months to read the first book but the way Robert Jordan writes makes it very easy to read? I suck at explaining things but I thought that was good

Cheyenne | 17 comments A Court of Thornes and Roses. It was my intro to the genre and is still my favorite!

Beth Tyas | 1 comments i barely ever see this recommended but the three dark crowns series by kendare blake is literally PERFECT if you're just getting into fantasy reading!! it's pretty YA, gets you used to multiple POVs (there are three, so it's not too much but it's a good variety) and there are clear links between all the characters from the get-go. it really sucks you in and as a new fantasy reader you'll absolutely love it!!!
