Simona-- I'm kind of intense (completelyinsane) | 806 comments It's good to be young. Isn't that what old people say? And then said "young people' are all I WANT TO GROW UP!

But that's just my opinion.

message 11: by Ruchi (new)

Ruchi (ohlookitsruchi) My theory is that I've got too much inexperience in reading books. I'm trying to improve in that aspect though, I started reading The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown just last night, think I'll enjoy it? Seems pretty cool this far (chapter 11 I think it was).
I think this is probably it. You should try reading something- anything at all by Terry Pratchett or Douglas Adams. They're incredibly wacky, but their brilliance is obvious. If you'd like to start with something smaller, I highly recommend reading the Bartimaeus trilogy by Jonathan Stroud. Its one of my all time favourites, and the way the characters behave is very real.

I used to like Dan Brown, but he sort of lost his appeal. The one thing that annoys me the most is that he has exactly one method of building tension- get to a good part, and then switch the POV to another character. He does this in every friggin chapter!

Summer | 11 comments hi im new and no offence to anyone but why create a blog to hate something ? if you dont like the book... well... get over it and move on find another book you do like... i do agree that not everyone is going to like the same thing but making a group just to tell someone (who probably doesnt care) that you hate a book is a bit pathetic and that person obviously has no life

message 13: by Summer (new)

Summer | 11 comments ok 1st it wasent in an insulting manner apoligies if thats how it sounded to you. 2nd i dont think your heartless brainless or stubborn i just think its a waste of time to tell someone how much you hate something there are better things in life to do. why dont you find a book that you do like instead of wasting your time complaining about something you hate

message 14: by Summer (new)

Summer | 11 comments sorry rose but your story is a bit ott were talking about a book not a kid whose familys been taken away. other than that i respect your opinion

message 15: by Nightshade (new)

Nightshade | 1257 comments Don't worry, Rose, I understood it. It's an analogy; not to be taken literally. It's a hypothetical situation, in case you (Summer) hadn't noticed.
