Bryce | 3 comments I am an author. I just created a list on the desktop-version of my mobile web browser. The list is titled "Helping Hands & Sharing Stories". I added 2 books already but I want to add/remove more later as needed. However, I don't want any random person to be able to add/remove books to my list. That said, I do want it public so people can browse it at their leisure. Is there any way you can please help me with this - preventing people other than myself from editing (adding or removing) books? Thank you.

Elizabeth (Alaska) This is not a librarian issue. However …

Lists are a community feature. Unless the list is one created by an outside source, like the 1001 Books You Should Read Before You Die, anyone may add books and vote on a list.

What Elizabeth said. But if you can still go into edit mode you can add a description to make it clear what books make your criteria. Please note that very personal lists like "What Jane Read" are not allowed.
