Elizabeth (Alaska) Despite having one sequential story in each issue, I don't think this is a series.

Elizabeth (Alaska) Yeah, well. In general, I think anthologies are not series. There may be exceptions, but I can't think of one.

I could see that was the intent.

I think if that story were published separately and a series on its own, then maybe the magazines could be added as non-primary works.

As far as I know, if a story in an anthology belongs to a series, the anthology is added to the series.

That's what I said in #6 above. But making an anthology a primary work in a series goes against everything that defines a series.

Elizabeth (Alaska) Corinne wrote: "maybe my thinking is an evolution of what lethe said."

Or mine. If the work is a series in its own right, then you can add the anthology. But an anthology is not a series in its own right, which is what you've done with the Clarkesworld magazines in #1.

We know lots of stuff exists on the site that doesn't belong. I don't think that is a valid series.

Well, we all make mistakes. In this case, the mistake might be mine. Still, if we cannot have an edition of a short story when when it was published only in an anthology, I don't see how the reverse can be true for a series.
