I highly suggest The Guardian War Chronicles: The Surrender Game. The FMC is one of the fiercest, sarcastic, and lovable characters that I've read in quite a while. The Surrender Game is one of my favorite stories of the year and I would recommend it to just about everyone. This is a sci-fi novel, but it's easier to follow than other books in the same genre. The side characters are actually what made me fall in love with this story, but Liberty Bell is the perfect FMC for readers that have ever felt like the weight of the world rested on their shoulders.
