One more spot!
How about The Toll-Gate? My other choice would be The civil contract, because it leads to a lot of discussion, but people generally hate it or love it! So, it’s either adventure/romp/kind of mystery (fitting for summer), or more serious, still-funny-but-definitely-not Heyer’s typical romance! Neither would be dull;) but I’m up for any of the above.

So which one would you prefer, The Tollgate or A Civil Contract? (the edition you linked to needs correcting - I'll do that tomorrow)
So, nominations closed! :)
I think “The Toll-gate” is a fun adventure, and I so enjoyed our recent “Talisman Ring” read - they both have a similar vibe, I feel. I’ll nominate that one.

Sorry for the delay everyone! I've had a busy day - then creating the poll played up for me!Here it is now https://www.goodreads.com/poll/list/1...
& it should also be on the home page.
& I just realised that with the problems I had with the poll, that somehow 2 were created. Fortunately the voters were me, Susan in NC & Mela - - we have voted in the other poll as well. So I have deleted the duplicate. Sorry about that.

I have my fingers crossed for one of my favs which I was delighted to see nominated:)!
Thrilled!! One of my absolute favourites and even though I read it not so long ago I'll be joining in again.

One drawback of belonging to multiple Heyer groups on multiple platforms: the "but I just did that one" effect.
Yet again, I seem to have missed the notification that the poll was open, and also the one that said what the result was. I’ve only received the notification of Mela’s post. I’m just wondering why that should occur?
I’m perfectly happy with the choice although I just read this is another GH group on FB. C’est la vie!

This has been a bug on this site for years that only some members have. You often see other members have added something like Not Receiving Notifications to their name, so that their GR friends don't think they are being ignored.

Recently yes! I try to give enough warning for people who don't have easy access to GH titles have time to acquire the book.
Oh I just re read The Toll Gate after a long hiatus. It is far better then I remembered. Lovely for August.
