Julie Ditton (storybooklady) | 234 comments A Fugitive Green
Diana Gabaldon
The novella was first published June 27, 2017 by Dell in anthiology Seven Stones to Stand or Fall.
It was later released October 2018 by Recorded Books and then
July 26 2022 as a kindle.

According to the chronology section on the author's website https://dianagabaldon.com/wordpress/b...
the novella would be #2.5 in the series.
Please add it to the series page and also edit the page for "Seven Stones " to reflect that it includes 2.5 as well as .5, 7.5 and 8.5 which are already nmentioned.

Thankyou for all your hard work.

Julie Ditton (storybooklady) | 234 comments As a new librarian I am trying to learn by fixing my own previous posts. But I am having some issues that require advise from those who are more experienced.

I have added https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4... to the series page https://www.goodreads.com/series/4394.... It appeared at the bottom of the page. When I tried to drag and drop to the correct location in the list, I learned that you need to use a desktop. I managed that much on my own.

But I have problems with the other tasks.

I then went to edit https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3.... I tried to add, “2.5” to the listed inclusions in the (series area) of the title. It shows up on the change log and in the show all editions list but not on the book page. I waited for the system to propagate the changes, but nothing happened. Then I realized that the list above the title is from the series info itself. But I can’t seem to edit that info. Does that require a superlibrarian? Or is there a technique that I am missing?

The manual states that a Librarian can only merge records that have 5 or less ratings. Does that apply to both editions being merged, or just to the one that will end up deleted? If one edition has several ratings and 1 has only a few, can I do that? Or do I need to send it to a superlibrarian?

Thanks for all the advise from everyone.

Tami (tamicarvallo) | 6987 comments You have to actually add (Outlander, #2.5) to the title field manually, this isn't done automatically when you add a book to a series. There are not edits changing the title by you in the change log. The book appears in the series page correctly and in the book page itself above the title.

It applies only to the one being deleted. You don't need a superlibrarian to delete/merge an edition that has 5 ratings of less, if it has more then you need a superlibrarian. The target can have X number of ratings, it doesn't matter.

Julie Ditton (storybooklady) | 234 comments I tried adding (Outlander #2.5) to the title of A Fugitive Green 12hours ago. The change is there in the change notes but doesn't show on the book page. Any idea what I am doing wrong?

As far as my deletion question is concerned.: DUh, my bad. It is right there in the manual if I had just read it more carefully.

Tami (tamicarvallo) | 6987 comments Maybe it didn't go through the first time you tried but it did 10 hours ago. It wouldn't show up on the book page itself, anything in parenthesis doesn't show up on the book page but on author profiles, lists of books, editions list and series pages.

Julie Ditton (storybooklady) | 234 comments My issue is that Seven Stones to Stand or Fall still shows "Outlander #0.5, 7.5 & 8.5" in the series link above the title and in the series info rught above the character list. That series info cant be changed on the edit page. Does anyone know how to fix that issue?

Tami (tamicarvallo) | 6987 comments That is edited in the series page, not the book edit page.

Julie Ditton (storybooklady) | 234 comments I apologise for my confusion.
I have edited added A Fugitive Green to the Outlander series and then returned to the book page and added (outlander #2.5) to the title area. Then I went to Seven Stones and edited the title.

how do I get the series info above the title on the book page of Seven Stones to reflect the 2.5 as well as the other stories? What am I missing?

Tami (tamicarvallo) | 6987 comments Ok, go to the series page https://www.goodreads.com/series/4394... on the top right corner click Edit. Look up Seven Stones or the book you want to edit on the list. Right before the title there's a little field that says book then you can write the number, edit the numbering. Then click Save.

It will take a while to reflect the changes in the book page because of cache.

Julie Ditton (storybooklady) | 234 comments Thank you! ...

I couldn't find this anywhere. Such a simple thing to do. But it isn't written anywhere.

Tami (tamicarvallo) | 6987 comments No problem! Yes, a lot of stuff isn't in the manual. You learn as you go. I learned a lot by asking in this group and observing other librarians. Before I was a librarian I was a frequent requestor xD
