SOLVED. Adult Science Fiction with I think Chaos or Code as part of title and involves a woman and a horse. Spoilers. [s]

So the novel I know is part of series, and if I remember correctly there is a horse that does talk. She does travel to alternate worlds. I am unsure if this is part of the first book or not, but in one world she travels to an alternate reality where dogs own the world instead of humans and humans are seen as pets, There is man who I believe becomes a love interest.

I do know the books are older like possibly 1990's or older. I have been looking for this
