Greig | 4 comments Hey good people, i'm looking for a book a read when i was younger and truly cant remember the name. It was a trilogy, i read it at least 7 or 8 years ago. The character wakes up with no memory but gets called soldier, becomes a mercenary, has a sidekick who's a boy that got turned into a raven/crow. I believe there were raiders that naturally had no hair so they killed guys with beards and used as toupes... wierd i know but its probably why i remember.

The "Scavenger" series by K.J. Parker? The first book is Shadow.

Greig | 4 comments Just remembered that the protagonist starts the first book by chopping hands off of hanged men and giving them to a vendor who made hands of glory, he then gets into trouble for something and ends up getting saved by the princess of the city by her marrying him.

"Hands of Glory" - that takes me back to reading John Bellairs fantasies when I was a kid.
