zia b | 536 comments and tips on how to cure a reading slump, I really like the book I’m currently reading (a good girl’s guide to murder) but I only pick it up when I’m not using my phone / before bed so how should I excite myself to read more since I’m on a book buying ban but also watching a lot of bookish video that make me want to but the book. So what should I do?

emilia (naina_xx) | 27 comments im also currently on a bbb and struggling bc i wanna keep buying new interesting books but im trying to make a mix between books i downloaded form the internet and the ones i already have.

usually when im on a slump i try either dnfing and going back to the book later when im in the mood or force myself to read it during lunch or dinner (im overage so im usually alone for lunch and sometimes i have dinner while im studying). have u tried putting some music or going out to a coffee shop to read?

rae (jurdan's version) A thing that I like to do when I'm in a slump is force myself to read. Ik that's kinda not the point of reading but it helps. Set a time in the day for the next like week and just read for about 10min. Eventually, you'll find yourself not being forced to do it (at least I hope lol) but yeah I hope this helps <33

Madison (maddiebryanna) | 4 comments It sounds a bit silly but sometimes I look up tiktoks about the book because seeing other people really excited about it helps me want to finish a book that I haven't really been vibing with! I also put my phone on do not disturb for an hour, put on some quiet Taylor Swift piano covers, and try to focus on the book! Annotating also helps because it makes me a feel a little more 'involved' in the story.
