I round to the nearest whole number so 3.5 stars would be 4, but 3.25 stars would be 3. I also mention my true rating in my review, so if I rated it 4, in my review I would write 3.5/5 stars.
I usually round down because in my mind, if I give it a 3.5, then it didn’t make it to 4 stars so it shouldn’t get another 4 star on the overall goodreads rating or look like a 4 star book on my list (not sure if that makes any sense). I know this isn’t mathematically correct in terms of how rounding works, but it makes sense to me for some reason.

if you guys rate something (for example 3.5 stars). do you mark it as 3 stars or 4 stars. i’m not sure like which way to go towards and wanna see what others do!
