casey ⋆˚౨ৎ ⋆.˚ (casereads_) | 8 comments hi i have a question !!

if you guys rate something (for example 3.5 stars). do you mark it as 3 stars or 4 stars. i’m not sure like which way to go towards and wanna see what others do!

faye | 262 comments depends what i’m feeling tbh but i normally round it up

Jenny | 369 comments I do either one it just depends which one I think it is leaning more towards.

casey ⋆˚౨ৎ ⋆.˚ (casereads_) | 8 comments thank you, that makes sense esp if leaning more towards one side :)

Rachael | 123 comments I round to the nearest whole number so 3.5 stars would be 4, but 3.25 stars would be 3.

I also mention my true rating in my review, so if I rated it 4, in my review I would write 3.5/5 stars.

Lexie | 16 comments I usually round down because in my mind, if I give it a 3.5, then it didn’t make it to 4 stars so it shouldn’t get another 4 star on the overall goodreads rating or look like a 4 star book on my list (not sure if that makes any sense). I know this isn’t mathematically correct in terms of how rounding works, but it makes sense to me for some reason.
