Identity by Nora Roberts -> Starting June 12th, 2023
I have a copy and I’m on the waitlist (available soon) on my second account. LOL That way I can start whenever both of you have a copy.

Interesting how we view the same book differently. I think there is very little suspense. This is more about Morgan and her relationship and family. Love the dog!
I feel the suspense of Gavin pining after Morgan. Knowing he will go after Morgan again. And Morgan knowing he hasn’t forgotten her.
I think I like the last Nora Roberts book we buddy read better then this one. I read a Karen Robards book a few weeks ago and it was non stop action with tonnes of suspense. I'm finding this one lacking. I want to know what's going to happen but it definitely isn't her best book. ( Or I don't think so)

I do enjoy the description of Vermont. I went there several years ago. And it was beautiful.
I haven’t read Robards in a long time. Which book did you read?
I haven't read your spoilers but so far (on Chap 12) I feel like this book is a lot of background or set up. Have to agree that other books of hers kept me wanting to read the next chapter...and the next...
I read two, GeriShiver and Hush both romantic suspense with the action and suspense that I love.
Sometimes I find current mindset has a lot to do with how I might enjoy a book or not. I'm looking forward to going back to my Whiskey Creek series.
Geri wrote: "I’ve never read Whiskey Creek. The books are good? Also, when do you want to buddy read Possession?"
I just put a hold on it. I'm next in line, approximately two weeks Libby said. Sooner if I can get it, earlier?
Karen, I'm slowly picking away at Reckless Road.
I’ll check out the Robards books and Whiskey Creek series. Just let me know on the Fallen Angels thread when you have your book.
I should be done with Identity today or tomorrow.

Former Army brat Morgan Albright has finally planted roots in a friendly neighborhood near Baltimore. Her friend and roommate Nina helps her make the mortgage payments, as does Morgan's job as a bartender. But after she and Nina host their first dinner party—attended by Luke, the flirtatious IT guy who'd been chatting her up at the bar—her carefully built world is shattered. The back door glass is broken, cash and jewelry are missing, her car is gone, and Nina lies dead on the floor.
Soon, a horrific truth emerges: It was Morgan who let the monster in. "Luke” is actually a cold-hearted con artist named Gavin who targets a particular type of woman, steals her assets and identity, and then commits his ultimate goal: murder.
What the FBI tells Morgan is beyond chilling. Nina wasn't his type. Morgan is. Nina was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. And Morgan's nightmare is just beginning. Soon she has no choice but to flee to her mother's home in Vermont. While she struggles to build something new, she meets another man, Miles Jameson. He isn't flashy or flirtatious, and his family business has deep roots in town. But Gavin is still out there hunting new victims, and he hasn't forgotten the one who got away.
