I can't get into this book at all. Any help/suggestions? I've heard the ending's good, but it sounds like it's all just romance. :( Does anything else happen?

I haven't. I know a little of what's supposed to happen, but not much.

Mmm... I think I made it to chapter 3? Possibly. :P I think that it's mostly the writing style and the lack of action. I don't mind romance too much, I think it just reminds me too much of *cough* Moby Dick.

Well it is a romance. If you don't like romance you probably won't like this book.

I share your feelings with this book. Here's a link to my review if you wish to read it: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

It is not like Moby Dick, as Moby Dick features chapters of irrelevant prose about the whaling industry. You will not find such excursions in Jane Eyre.
