The default edition that's now marked as an ACE has the actual published cover (this book was first published a week ago) and the edition with the ASIN has a pre-release cover that was revealed last August and then changed in November, five months before the book was published. Is the pre-release cover still considered the "default cover" and not an ACE? I always thought that the first published cover is the default cover and new/later covers or ARCs etc. are ACEs.

edit: Anyway, I'm fine with how it is, I was just surprised that the first published cover is considered an ACE.
If the cover was an Advanced Reader Copy, then yes it is normally listed that way and not as the original, but other than that the ISBN/ASIN stays with the original edition added to GR, not the original edition it was released with.See ACE/ARC rules in the link below.

The first edition on Goodreads keeps the isbn/asin.
The only time an ASIN/isbn can be moved from one edition to another, is in the case of an ARC.
Please always leave a change comment on the edit page when making such an edit. To avoid confusion, also mark the ARC edition.

The author is also the one who added the ebook edition here, with a publication date two days prior to the one on Amazon.
That non-Kindle ebook may no longer be available, but Goodreads does not delete out-of-print editions.
776 and first of 777 done. The second has some incorrect changes according to the change log. I will look at it later, or if someone else has time.

Supper Librarianhello I am J.P. hall author on your site..I have lots of problems.. My work on your site doesn't show my work nor does it reference my current work...
Note: My title Big Boy Pond has the wrong cover...I put the correct cover on my profile ...I also put the correct ASIN in the edition that links to the ebook but it is incorrect too.
All I want is one cover on both books paperback book and the ebook
also to have the link pointing to the correct link on kindle
#785 Please read the librarian note on the edit page of your book. You shouldn't change existing data but add a new edition instead.If you provide us with the information, we can add it for you. Please also provide a link to the new cover, I didn't see it on your profile.

#796 - Those are different covers, so I just re-combined.
#797 - Recombined. Could be a removable band, but there is no guarantee of that, also yes it could be a scanning thing, but the color scheme is much darker on the one edition. Also on all 3 the cover proportions are slightly different.

Taking a look.Reverted to an even earlier image change, which actually made the cover match the one Amazon has for that ISBN.Also reverted a date change by the same user, so it should be back to it's original version.
