We have a tie this month, as Ten Battles Every Catholic Should Know and The Idol of Our Age: How the Religion of Humanity Subverts Christianity each received six votes. The randomizer selected Ten Battles Every Catholic Should Know by Michael D. Greaney as our BOTM for June 2023 and we will read The Idol of Our Age: How the Religion of Humanity Subverts Christianity by Daniel J. Mahoney in July.

The tally for all of the votes was:
Idol of Our Age: How the Religion of Humanity Subverts Christianity 6
Ten Battles Every Catholic Should Know 6
Wheat That Springeth Green 5
Restless Flame: A Novel About Saint Augustine 4
Faith of Our Fathers A History of 'True' England 4
Benedict XVI 3
Last Ugly Person 3
Things Worth Dying For 3
Tartessian Crown 3
Race with the Devil 2
Saint Monica Club 2
With Two Eyes Into Gehenna 2
Burning Bush 1
Could You Not Watch With Me One Hour 1
From Islam to Christ 0

The book with no votes will be removed from the lists. Those with only one vote will be removed from the voting list and added to the end of the nominations list. The top five books on the nominations list will be moved onto the voting list in July for the August BOTM.

EDIT: Results updated to reflect the corrected results noted by Fonch below.

Fonch | 2419 comments Hello John i think there is a mistake in the vote Faith of our fathers had four votes my vote, Dedee, Ann, and Kris and "The Tartessian Crown" by the Professor Manuel Alfonseca had three votes i voted for this book, Asuncion, and The Professor Manuel Alfonseca. It is true that this thing does not influence to the final result but it might influence in the other selections.
I am a friend of Michael D. Greaney i might say that his book won and i purpose him if he wants to participate in the discussion of his book.

Thanks for bring this to my attention, Fonch. I missed your votes. Looking at the voting, you and I voted at almost the same time. I tallied votes up until that point (through Frances), then went and figured out my votes. I cast my votes, added them to the tally and didn't notice that you had cast yours. Then when I went back the next day to add additional votes to the tally, I started with Vincent, who voted after me. My apologies for the confusion, though as you noted, it will have no effect on the results, and I will fix it so the records in future votes are correct.

Hello John.
The Professor explained it to me. I didn't worry John. It turns out that we both voted at the same time, and the votes came out at the same time that's why mine were lost. I do not need to apologize, Mr Pennel. I warned of this, because seeing the votes that each book receives the number of votes in previous elections could influence future votes (seeing that the book received so many votes could induce someone else to vote for those books in particular), and therefore I thought it appropriate to report it. Do I want to know if I have the authorization to inform Michael D. Greaney that his book has been successful? You may want to participate in the discussion of your book. We're both friends on Facebook, and I frequently commented on some of his Facebook posts. I will not do anything until I have the proper authorization.
