Joao Baptista | 82 comments In the last month or so, when fulfilling non-librarian requests for creating entries for newly published books, I found many cases of extremely incomplete entries of those books made by a specific librarian.

This librarian keeps creating new books leaving most fields incomplete, although info is readily available, as we are mostly dealing with 2023 editions. No ISBN, no page number, no publisher, no format, uses cover images with watermarks from online bookstores, etc.

I don’t know if this breaks the rules, but surely is not what is expected from a librarian. And, besides being extremely frustrating having to complete all those incomplete records, when they could have been done right from the beginning, it ends up favoring the creation of duplicates, because with no ISBN is easy to miss those incomplete entries.

Here an example: [removed]

I tried to privately message her, but the profile does not accept messages from non friend.

What do you suggest me to do? Is this acceptable?

Joao Baptista | 82 comments Thank you for your answers. I will do as Scott said.

Corinne, I already removed the example. I did not know it was against the rules, thank you for enlightening me about that. It is not my intention to denounce anyone, but to have that issue addressed. The example was only for you to assess what I was trying to describe, because I was unsure if it was acceptable (although it seems to me inacceptable).

of course, no doubt. and no accusations meant. it was there when I posted and it's a normal thing ..."

And I thank you for that. I edited the original post, removing the link, after reading your commentary.
