Yes. "Tasks" can be read in any order.
I admit it is not clear to me whether this can change or not..... but, just in case, I would like to lock in The Sellout at 289 pages for MPE.
Joanna wrote: "For 10.5 - Will United States count as a six letter word for setting? Or is it 12?"It's 12. It's one of the reasons we included the options of city or state. Hopefully your book will be more specific as to setting.
Bea wrote: "Is there a page limit? I have one book that is 95 pages."Yes, the usual 100 page limit applies this season.
I'd like to lock in Our Hidden Lives: The Remarkable Diaries of Post-War Britain as the MPE for that book please, because the next most popular has too many words in the subtitle.

June, July and August are the 6th, 7th and 8th months of the year. Let's play with those numbers.
Read 10 books, where 6, 7 or 8 letters/words meet one of the criteria below. Authors may be repeated at any time.
Although numbered as a regular season, this is like a regular sub-challenge. For each round, you must read for each of the "tasks" without repeating any of them.
10.1. Number of letters in author's first or last name
10.2. Number of words in title
10.3. Number of words in subtitle
10.4. Number of letters in a title word (title only, but book can have a subtitle)
10.5. Number of letters in setting, city/state/country (Setting is at least 51%)
10.6. Number is in year of Author birth
10.7. Number is in original pub date
10.8. Number is in MPE page count
10.9. Author first/last name begins with the 6th, 7th, 8th letter of the alphabet (F, G, H)
10.10. Title begins with the 6th, 7th, 8th letter of the alphabet (F, G, H). Leading articles of The, A, and An can be ignored.
Scoring:
10.1-10.10: 10 points
100 point finisher bonus
Please post any questions about the 10-point challenge in this thread.
