Personal opinion (and we know I have many), combine and merge requests shouldn't be in a long thread. Requests should be done individually. There is simply no reason to piggy back these requests onto the previous ones.
That this type of thread gets unwieldy I believe is the primary reason for creating the Superlibrarian folder. Those requests come in separate posts. I don't see why the same isn't done for the threads linked in Post #1.

which is over three years old. & it took a long time to get the previous one closed (if I remember correctly) because people kept deleting their requests. :/
Edit: Plus sometimes members put up requests that require knowledge of a specific author's works. They just get buried in this thread.

Most do come in separate posts, but we sometimes have multiple requests in one post. Those are indeed more troublesome to work on.

Thanks for these. I'm leaving the Clean up NAMES only thread open for now as it's incomplete and members aren't actively adding new requests.
