Large Threads Need Closing

Large threads are worked by number but numbers become pretty useless when several people delete comments or one person deletes several comments. These deletions keep happening despite Librarians' pleas to not delete posts.

Personal opinion (and we know I have many), combine and merge requests shouldn't be in a long thread. Requests should be done individually. There is simply no reason to piggy back these requests onto the previous ones.
That this type of thread gets unwieldy I believe is the primary reason for creating the Superlibrarian folder. Those requests come in separate posts. I don't see why the same isn't done for the threads linked in Post #1.
With quotes I can see a reason for the new thread for quote fragments, but not this one;https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
which is over three years old. & it took a long time to get the previous one closed (if I remember correctly) because people kept deleting their requests. :/
Edit: Plus sometimes members put up requests that require knowledge of a specific author's works. They just get buried in this thread.

Those are indeed more troublesome to work on.

Bumping up.
The numbering is now off track as someone has deleted their post.
Thanks for these. I'm leaving the Clean up NAMES only thread open for now as it's incomplete and members aren't actively adding new requests.
Jaclyn, the instruction in the Book Cover for Audible thread (now closed) is to message you to update the thread as outstanding requests are completed, except you don't accept messages...
