We can't add books from seller's websites either, but there are exceptions because they are owned by Amazon:

Amazon (of course)
Audible
Abe Books
Book Depository (which is shutting down, so no longer applicable after June 1 I think)

To clarify items from Audible, this Help section states a more detailed explanation:

There are a lot of episodic works, podcasts, interviews, drama productions, etc. that are non-books and shouldn't be added.

Yes, I wish those were imported automatically. There may not be a way to do that without importing *everything else* too.
