The cruel prince is pretty similar to what you described. They are real enemies, and he tries to kill her, but he is a fairy prince, and she's human and mortal, which why he hates her.

Thanks guys! I was hoping for an adult fantasy (sorry should have specified) cause most of these suggestions are YA. Nonetheless, I'll check them out!
Can anyone recommend me a fantasy enemies to lovers but the enemies are actual enemies that try to kill each other, perhaps they're from rival kingdoms / countries. I don't want competitive rivalry, I don't want petty bickering, I want straight up serious life or death fights. Maybe eventually they have to team up to fight a common 3rd enemy and that's when they fall in love. They realize they don't hate each other, but was just thought to hate because of their kingdoms' rivalry.
This sounds really specific (and I might have to write my own book lol) but thanks in advance!
