Elizabeth (Alaska) Moving ISBNs must be reported to staff.

What is the best way to do this? I have tried very hard to be specific ...

1) move ISBNs from this edition to
2) this edition

3) once the ISBNs have been moved, merge the now empty edition into the edition with the ISBNs

Unfortunately, they don't seem to understand "merge". And if the now empty edition has more than 5 adds, I can't do the merge anyway.

Is it wrong to expect them to be able to do this? Should I instead be saying "thank you" and doing the rest of the reporting to Supers?

Elizabeth (Alaska) Deleted does the merge just like before, but I didn't want it merged with the default, but merged with the edition with the right ISBNs. Sigh.

It's been marked Invalid and still has 31 adds. :-(((

Elizabeth (Alaska) I don’t want to feel so frustrated when I refer something. Nearly everything can be done by librarians, but not move ISBNs. So my question is really should I expect that the entire job be done by staff or should I expect that they won’t be knowledgeable enough to do it. If the latter, then I will form my requests differently and plan to have to follow up.

☕ Lachgas ♿ (lachgas) | 9386 comments From my experience, expect that they are not knowledgable. Happens too often in various things I ask for corrections.
Had several follow ups in the last months although I was thorough in the first message.
Once quoted the manual because I was so fed up having to follow up for initials to be corrected. (including the examples)
Got a "I'll be more than happy to help you and your knowledge about the Librarian manual it's outstanding, thank you so much for sharing these details." answer back and thought "what? mine? you can know that too, just read the manual"
