Hi! I am looking for a historical romance happening somewhere in the UK or Scotland if I had to guess being set in the 1300 to 1600. I don't remember the author or the year.

the plot: The heroine lives with her stepmothers that forces her to work. She believes her brother died at war, but he did not. Someday, a knight shows up and somehow the stepmother ends up given the heroine to the hero. The heroin is later trying to prove that she is a lady and not a servant but he doesn't want to believe her. She later on becomes pregnant.
