I knew at some point he was going to end up reading her memory without her permission and am worried about what else he might have seen. Do you think he knows about the feathertail powers? I’m not worried about Andarna since it sounds like she’s a full dragon by the end, but I worry for other hatchlings and feathertails on the Vale.

I believe he can only take recent memories so that may of been too far for him to see

Dain is foul for what he did, clearly did not care for her like she once cared for him. My guess? he's going to turn into the 'villain' in the next book. I hope vi messes him up

I remember he did touch her face early on and I was like ... "oh no!!" Then she made comments that suggested he'd been regularly doing it throughout their friendship. I def. think he knows more than we think he does due to his slimy touching.

I am honestly so worried about him since I think he found out too much (if you know what I mean). Besides the bonds within dragons and more, I think he has such tremendous potential now to be the biggest challenge against the peace that one side is trying to strive for.

Scary to think of all the times he cupped her face like that, knows a lot more than was mentioned at the end yet he kept quiet - he probably knows just about everything from Vi and Xaden down to the stories from the folklore book, the meetings ...honeslty who knows

Honestly? It was kinda predictable since the beginning of how "over" protective he was. He was possessive to the extent that i wanted to dive in and smack the hell out of him. It was just too much. And the way he is so blindly devoted to the rules and the codex makes me think is more due to fear than patriotic. I can't wait to see how Vi is gonna confront him later when they cross-over. It's gonna be good.

I believe Dain may end up either becoming a villain/ a hero in his own mind. Or he will do the right thing and side with the marked ones but eventually end up dying after his redemption.

My question is… did he know everything?? He was shocked to realize that Violet and Xaden had hooked up. He hadn’t seen that when he checked her memories.

The amount of times Dain fought with Violet was genuinely making my head hurt. He was such a baby about everything and had no respect for her it was so degrading. Every time he started to contend with Violet and argue I would genuinely yell out loud "please for the love of god shut the fuck up" I think he could be violets mothers right hand man in the wars to come *yikes* STRONG GALE VIBES lol

Dain touches her face on page 92 for the first time after she spies in on the meeting of the marked ones. Page 114 he touches her face again. Page 191. Touch’s her face thressings while he was trying to get her to leave. 192. Dain touched her face again and kissed her but after she has her conversation with xaden. Page 287 dain touches her face while they make up. Page 350, he craddles her face. Page 405. He touches her face at graduation my guess it to see where her loyalty is. At some point he probably saw the memory of her an xaden doing the nasty nasty. So all in totally 7 or so times

I hope violet gets violent and gives dain a peace of her mind not gonna lie im on the second book have not finished it barely started it even though I waited until 12am last night to get it but if dain pops up I want to see how the meet between them will turn out in iron flame

Even though Dain is not very likable and did bad things in book #1 I feel like he is going to be redeemed at some point in the series. I think when it will matter most he will choose to help Violet and/or sacrifice himself.
