SOLVED. Romance, kind of historical, think it might even have been called The Flower Garden but really can't remember [s]

This story had a woman who was married to a man she did not love just so that she could please her family, her father especially. She is told by the doctor she has a rare form of anaemia and a year to live. Meets new guy, fall in love almost immediately and they move away or go travelling. Along the way she falls pregnant and the worsens her condition, at the end she dies and guy names baby after a river they once came upon and she thought it was beautiful.

its kind of historical (because i remember wearing short dresses was still an issue) but its set in the modern world, i would say 19-20th century.

We recently located a book after 7 years of trying. Some only take a few hours/weeks, others take much longer. I don't remember the hero's occupation, and its western, i think it might have been set up in the U.S
