Rebecca (faeryqueenrs) | 12 comments I saw this book at a used book fair, and someone else bought it before I could get back to it. Paperback cover looked '70s or '80s. Blurb was something about 2 women (sisters?) in a castle. Unicorn was in the title, but I don't think it was *about* a unicorn. Books were vaguely alphabetical on the table, so author's name probably starts with A. Maybe B, but it is NOT Peter S. Beagle.

I'm kicking myself for not picking it up and holding it just in case, but this collection was almost all popular sci-fi/fantasy like Le Guin & McKillip, so I'm hoping this is an easy one for genre fans.

Doesn't look right, but that 1983 cover linked on that site is the right style. I also don't think it was part of a series, but it could also be that the rest of it hadn't been written yet at the time that edition was published.

Thin-ish? Probably ballpark of 200 pages. Not necessarily "adult" but not teenagers.
