Gabby gcdeditorial (gabbycd) | 100 comments Hi everyone!

I have a couple spots left during May, and would love to fill them with some beta reads. I have a short turnaround time of 2 weeks.

I will beta read any manuscript under 100k words for $70USD (payment will be made in AUD). If your novel is over 100k, I will work out a custom price for you.
(My usual pricing for beta reading is about $0.0015USD/word)

I graduated university with a major in English and Creative Writing, and work as an ESL teacher and freelance editor and writer. I've been beta reading and editing for five years now and am confident in giving detailed and honest feedback, including all the amazing things about your novel as well!

All you need to do is comment under this thread a bit about your novel, including word count, or mention this post in an email to me: gcdeditorial@outlook.com

If you want to find out more about what I offer with beta reading, as well as testimonials from recent clients, check out my website: https://gcdeditorial.wordpress.com/ or my instagram: instagram.com/gcdeditorial

I hope we can work together to make your novel the best it can be :)

Gabby

Winona | 2 comments Hello Gabby,
Do you still have spaces available for beta reading in May? It's in the speculative fiction genre with elements of magic realism and is just over 100,000 words. Please let me know if you're interested.
Cheers!
Winona

Keatington III | 23 comments Hi Gabby, I saw you 70 AU beta read offer.

Has sex scenes so if this is problem let me know.

I'm going to self-publish. It's a "What-if" come true. We all have "What ifs?" It is about 70K words and has erotic, sensual sex scenes. If you are interested in reading, I can send you copy or share it from office 365. Any feedback or suggestions would be Greatly appreciated. Kind Regards, Keatington

his is a story of lost love and separate journeys that come together by fate twenty-six years later.

While looking through old memorabilia Randy’s son Niclas found a beautiful golden ring. The lost class ring of the woman Randy had loved in college. A ring which brought back wonderful memories, followed by anxiety ridden deliberations before Randy sent Debra a message in 2006.

Randy waited and waited. Frustrated, he had given up all hope when, sitting in a Berlin café, he gets an email. Debra hadn’t gotten his message till 2008, and immediately began searching for him, finally in 2009 she had found him.

They got reacquainted through the exchange of countless emails. She was married and living in Phoenix, Arizona. He was separated and living in Berlin, Germany.

It wasn’t long before the love they had buried deep within their hearts starting growing. In December 2009, they made a life altering decision. Knowing they had not seen each other in twenty-six years, they took a leap of faith and decided to follow their hearts. Debra filed for divorce in January 2010 and Randy flew to Phoenix in February to see her.

They rented a condo and stocked it with everything they would need. There would be no outside interruptions.
Just the two of them, alone, for fourteen days in a magical place they called ‘Randyland’.

These fourteen days include passionate love making, arguing, shed tears and at times the many truths they find leave them shocked over what they had believed for so long. Answers to the dreaded “What if…” questions are revealed.

Axel Martens | 18 comments Hi Gabby,

I am contacting you because I am interested in professional feedback on my book project.

At the beginning of this year, I asked myself how it must feel to be an evil witch who wants to do good, what it must be like to love somebody who had to kill to stay alive, and why you would care about the world if the entire world hated you.

And I wrote a book. That is to say, I finished the second draft of my manuscript. In 95,000 words spread over 280 PDF pages and divided into 25 chapters, I have transformed a weird dream into a story about good and evil, Vikings and witches, love and sacrifice – but most of all, about people with their hopes and problems. It is set in a fantasy world that borrows from Iceland and Scotland. I haven't explicitly targeted a YA audience, but I think the book suits that age group and beyond.

I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Axel Martens. I am a software engineer at Google. Born in Germany, I moved to the USA about twenty years ago and settled in the suburbs of NYC. Before starting this project, I had never written anything longer than a Christmas card.

When I started writing, I took a handful of online classes, watched many youtube videos, and joined local writing groups. Thus, I have gotten feedback on Goodreads and beta-readers of individual chapters. My first chapter is published as a short story in a local online journal (Confetti Magazine)

At this stage, I am looking for a professional editor to help improve my manuscript. If you are interested and available, I thought of starting with a beta-read or a manuscript critique. Please let me know what works best for you.

You can find a bit more information about the book at project-witchcraft.com

Hoping to hear from you soon, I wish you a lovely weekend.

Cheers, Axel Martens
