Can I just say I think it's hilarious that her dad showed up and was shooting the house to get her back? These two are good together when they get out of their heads and just enjoy each other. I'm interested to see how the whole reentering society thing goes.

Bourne really just needs to give up this whole revenge notion, Penelope is good for him and he needs to see that. Hopefully there isn't too much fallout between them when everything goes down.

Ok I love that Penelope is the one who won the game against Langford, that's perfect. And I'm glad Bourne had come to his senses and finally admitted he loved her. Overall I enjoyed this one.

I'm loving this so far, Pippa was my favorite character in the first book. I love how shocked Cross was by her proposition. I'm interested to see if his idea to stop Digger will work.

Pippa is just such a great character, I really love her. I like how she figured out a way around the wager and was going to get one of the Angel's prostitutes to help her with her research, driving Cross mad in the process. And then she figured out he cheated her at the club and now is getting her way with him helping her.

These two really are perfect together, I hate what Knight is doing. At least his daughter seems to get that they're both being forced to do this. I'm curious how they'll manage to get out of this without ruining Pippa's reputation.

Pippa's plan was brilliant, I love that she bankrupted Knight to save Cross. And I like that Temple and Castleton helped her pull it off. Cross showing up at the church to declare his love was fantastic. I'm looking forward to reading Temple's book.

74% (view spoiler)[ I honestly can't see how Cross is going to get out of this engagement. While Pippa doesn't care about her reputation, Cross won't damage it-- especially not to be with her.

100% (view spoiler)[ I really liked the ending. It came together really well with it starting and ending in a betting hall. Also kind of cute how they tried to avoid a scandal, but made a bit of one with that kiss outside her sister's wedding. (hide spoiler)]

This is good so far. Temple is rightfully angry with Mara, I mean who wouldn't be when they were left to be accused of murder. I do wonder how their romance will develop as Mara has a lot to make up for. And her brother is kind of terrible, I hope he doesn't get to skate away unscathed.

I don't love the way Mara is keeping information from Temple. She obviously knows by now that he doesn't remember what happened that night and it doesn't seem fair for her to keep it from him after what she did. I'm not loving this one so far as I feel like Mara isn't getting what she deserves which is a shame as I've really enjoyed Temple's character in the series so far.

Her brother was crazy thinking he could stab Temple, almost kill him. I don't imagine things will go well for him once they finally catch him. I'm still not loving this one, I wish Mara would just tell Temple the truth about everything. It's getting kind of ridiculous how far I am into the book and she's only just now about to be revealed to be alive.

This definitely is my least favorite in the series so far. It's still good but the first two books were way better. I didn't like how long it took Mara to tell Temple the truth. I am glad though that her brother was going to stand trial for trying to kill Temple. I'm looking forward to Chase's story next.

51% (view spoiler)[ I'm having an issue with this book is that there wasn't much self-awareness or reflection from Georgiana. Here she is wanting a marriage to present her daughter into Society, which even Georgiana doesn't want to be a part of. But there's not much friction about how that betrays everything she's worked towards and her values. (hide spoiler)]

73% (view spoiler)[ Oh damn. While I'm still annoyed about the marriage plot feels both dragged out and in the background, I'm enjoying the chemistry between Georgiana and West. (hide spoiler)]
