Anthony (albinokid) | 1481 comments I’m glad this book was immediately available on Libby. Enjoying the first chapter so far. I know this book is multi-award-winning and highly regarded by folks in this group, so I’m hopeful I’ll continue enjoying it.

hooray for libraries! I found the beginning well crafted and engaging, hope you continue to enjoy it!

Bobby Durrett | 241 comments Had no idea this was set in Canada. Read most of it on flight to Vancouver and in the two days I spent there. Kind of fun coincidence.

DivaDiane SM | 3717 comments I got it through Libby as well with no wait about a week ago and I'm already finished. I don't know why this wasn't a reread for me, since it has been high on my radar for several years.

I loved it and hope everyone else does too.

Paul Freeman | 64 comments Have started to read this and I'm about 20% in. The writing is excellent, no wonder it has won awards. There is one scene (avoiding spoilers here) that was so vividly writen that I was right there with the character living the moment with them

Given the CWs I have some misgivings about that for later in the book.

aPriL does feral sometimes (cheshirescratch) | 610 comments Started it today. The writing is really good.

Jen | 7 comments Very pretty writing so far, but I'm only about 20% done so not much else to say.

Chris Lohn | 3 comments I was also able to get it through Libby. I don't normally go for YA these days, but these is such a cool premise, I am happy to give it a try. The slow world building is really engaging.

Meredith | 1819 comments I've just started and I'm a couple chapters in (~17%). It's very engrossing so far. I'm listening to the audio and the narrator really brings a full personality to the MC.

Lori Thane | 2 comments I'm planning a holiday in Canada soon, I'm going to pick this up... although I don't expect it's much of a tourist guide.

DivaDiane SM | 3717 comments LOL, Lori, no. But you may get a sense of the landscape.

I agree, Meredith, the narrator is excellent, but there are some production issues (uncut flubs, noises and random musical background/interludes but inconsistent). But over all I enjoyed the book very much.
