Bri Hi book friends! I’m really conflicted on whether or not I should start actually annotating in my books. I’ve been so worried about actually highlighting/writing on the pages in case I want to sell them in the future, etc. What are y’all’s thoughts? Should I stick to using sticky notes like i have been doing? (Which cause my book to feel thicker, not a fan of this) Or, should I just say screw it and actually start highlighting the pages?

Books & Reviews with Eszter | 1 comments Hey, if you don’t want to physically annotate with pens and highlighters in your books, then you can always use clear sticky notes on your book pages which can easily be taken off if needed. In terms of using sticky tabs, I’d say do if you want. If you don’t like the way it makes your book thicker than don’t use it, but I find it as a good way to record my thoughts and feelings when I’m reading my book. Again, it’s up to you, but if you really want to annotate then I’d recommend using clear sticky notes, and use sticky tabs if you really want to.

bree✿ (reads_of_bree) | 2 comments personally i only annotate my favorites or the occasional line if i am obsessed with it!! i don't use tabs anymore and i just highlight and sometimes make notes in pen. i get what you're saying with the tabs making the book thicker plus its hard to put back in the shelf. that's why i decided to stop using them and it's an extra expense but that's totally a preference. if u check out my bookstagram: bree._.books i posted some annotations for better than the movies if you are interested to see those:)
